I planned to finish writing this a while back, but wasn't able to due to school assignments. Better late than never lol.  

Hey, so I got a few updates regarding the gallery's layout on my page as well as some new forms of content for my upload schedule.

I removed all WIPs (except the ones that aren't completed) in my featured gallery. Fear not, you can still see them in the other one (when you press "all" in the gallery) I realized that I kept seeing the WIPs in the suggested tab, and didn't want new viewers to look at them and only my finished works. (I may end up labeling them as scraps if it doesn't work)

I'm also planning to create more step by step tutorials of my works to show my thought process and techniques. This way I should be able to provide you guys with extra content in case if I cannot finish a drawing in my upload schedule (which is one drawing every two weeks) or in case if I have too many things on my hands to work on actual drawings. (Hopefully I wouldn't have to upload two of these in a row if I get my act together lol) I really want to have a better and more consistent upload schedule while keeping the same quality artwork as I always had. The only time when I was actually doing this was during the Summer and Fall of 2017 when I was able to create new works at a minimum of two weeks. (Which was the time when I didn't have school or not as many assignments lol) I'm not sure if I should upload other forms of art such as traditional art or random sketches, I may do something like that on a different platform like Instagram since I like to think of DeviantArt as a form of a portfolio site (even though it isn't). Even if I were to do that my sketches are atrocious (really really bad) 

I also want to start streaming again speaking of which I might start streaming again tomorrow or the day after since i'm not really doing anything other than playing video games and hanging out with friends. I might stream during the night/afternoon since i'm on my computer the most during that time. 

Thats all I wanted to say regarding my time here on DA and other platforms (I should also create a journal about the other platforms that i'm on in the future). Thank you all for the support lately even when I haven't uploaded a full drawing in a while, I'll try to get back into my usual groove.

Yeah its that time of the year again, the time when the temperature drops (or rises if you live in a place like Australia) the time when people break out the winter jackets, (or sandals take your pick) the time that people either love or hate, the time when kids' childhoods are ruined after realizing a fat man in a red suit and hat isn't real. (or never believed it in the first place/ celebrates a different occasion) You know what time it is.....

       

ITS TIME FOR WINTER EXAMS 

      

You thought it was time for the holidays? Heck no! (though those do come afterwards) Its time to sit down and study, time to start reviewing how the heck marginal taxation works! Due to this situation, I'm gonna be on a somewhat short hiatus ranging from 3 to 4 weeks starting from now. (the majority of this December) I'll try to get those old sketches out before exams start. (believe me some of them are pretty subpar lol) Regarding the WIP of Kou and Raiyuu (the name I decided to give to Kou's dragon companion and travel mate (yes I am very creative when it comes to naming, same goes for Kou)) I'm not sure if I can finish it before exams start at the end of this week. (it would be a miracle if I did, but it would be even more of a miracle if I uploaded those sketches) There should be more things to come during this time of year, (if I remember to do them) and this is just the beginning!

I finally made my lazy butt to actually write this journal and answer all your questions! Lets get started, Yo  

The Questions

What other languages can you speak?

I speak English (obviously (otherwise I would be ilitterate nd knot no howe two spellle tings corecktley)) I also speak Mandarin and illiterate af in French and Japanese (just picking up phrases from anime :L). 

First anime and favorite anime?

Technically the first anime that I watched would be Pokemon, although I thought it was just cartoons or something until later on. What really got me hooked on watching anime would be Fairy Tail since I saw my sister watching it and I initially thought it was stupid. (now look what happened XD)

I don't really have a single most favourite anime its more like a bunch of anime is considered my favourite which would be Honey and Clover, No Game No Life, Acchi Kocchi, Nichijou, Pet Girl of Sakurasou, Attack on Titan, Tokyo Ghoul, San Gatsu no Lion, Kono Bijutsubu ni wa Mondai ga aru!, One Punch Man, Orange, Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-Kun, Your Lie in April, and Boku No Hero Academia to name a few. 

Do you play games, if so what is your favourite and why?

Yeah I play games, but not as often due to school and all. My favourite would be the Pokemon series/franchise since i've been playing them since I was in first grade, (the first pokemon game I think I got was Pearl, but completed Pokemon Sapphire first) and i've enjoyed every mainline game so far.

Some honourable mentions would be the Mario Franchise, (especially the Galaxy series, so hyped for Odyssey this year) Super Smash Bros series, (I play this one a lot with my friends and get pretty competitive with it) Team Fortress 2, (I just like the randomness that happens in pub games (this is a pretty good example), conga lines and flying rag dolls are amazing) Professor Layton, (I love the characters and the stories in the series. The OST is really good as well would highly recommend) Zelda series, (i've just gotten into this one lately since I have a few games lying around here and there) Overwatch, (I don't have the game, but I played a few rounds on my relative's computer and enjoyed it. I played Roadhog before he was nerfed to the ground and to the Earth's inner core. I also like most of the character's backstories and designs) and Deemo, (the OST is great and the story is amazing, it introduced me to artists like Sakuzyo, M2U, Rabpit, and NICODE. BTW some fanart of the game is coming pretty soon ) 

What/who are some of your main inspirations?

For inspirations, I really like Yuumei's artwork. Most of her artworks has a story/meaning behind it and shows the connection between the individual and nature. Its something that I want to and try to show in my own artwork. I also get inspired by a lot of artwork from Pixiv especially it's Pixivision articles on specific illustration themes such as this one. I generally go there whenever i'm art blocked or searching for ideas for new projects. Generally I get inspiration from stuff online so sometimes it varies quite a lot. Lately i've been interested in some of Crisalys', Joridos', shelliihe's, tofuvi's, and Kanekiru's drawings and is sort of thinking of doing some portraits/character illustrations or trying out something similar to those artist's work. Especially Crisaly's and Joridos' since I really like the retro/traditional theme in their artwork. Though that might be later on since I still need to work on my anatomy and facial stuff. 

All in all it varies on what I get inspired by from the website and other artists that I admire. In a nutshell.   

Would you review my last journal T.T? Also, what do you like drawing the most and since when have you been doing so?

I'm guessing you mean this one right? Its pretty cool  . Right now I like drawing characters and people in various environments. Environments are the easiest to do right now so i'm working on drawing people since they are a bit of a challenge to draw. (I like challenges though) I've been doing this since last year around the time school started in Canada, which is around September or so.

I'm not sure if you meant how long I was drawing for or something in the last part, but i'll answer it in the shortest way possible for no apparent reason  . I guess you can say that i've been drawing ever since, but thats a bit of an overstatement. I've drawn things when I was a kid and stopped drawing when I was 7 or 8 since I thought I couldn't draw. (which was kinda dumb now that I think about it) I started drawing again when I was 14, but it was only rarely since it took me forever to complete a drawing. The year after, I joined my school's Digital Art Club and drew a lot more frequently, and by frequently I mean 3 drawings in a school year .  I kinda started getting serious about art last year by learning art fundamentals online from youtube videos and websites/tutorials.

The time has come! The time in which you guys can ask me anything you want to ask whether it be experience, inspiration, etc!  

What I won't answer (anything except from this list is fine)

• Stuff that is considered too "personal" such as:

• Face reveal/something (I kinda drew myself so you can see (but it's old and a bit cringy XD)

Just like I vaguely mentioned before in previous journals and status updates, in celebration of reaching 500 watchers I would do something for you guys. Thing is I'm kinda stuck in between choosing these two (or I can just do both, but eh XD) so here they are.

Option 1: Ask me anything and FAQ journal

If this happens i'll set up a journal in the next few days for you guys to ask me in the comments below, and then upload another journal a week afterwards answering all of those questions. HOWEVER there are somethings that I won't answer such as things that I think are too personal (i.e. what is the city I live in) i'll specify a little bit in the journal where you guys can comment and ask your questions.

Option 2: Commissions

If this happens i'll set up a journal for it and what i'll draw or won't draw, what my prices are, yadda, yadda, yadda. Just generally what a normal commission journal has. HOWEVER if I do do this I won't be able to accept commissions/upload a journal until later on in the future because I'm working on something with relatives that won't give me that much time to work on commissions at the same time.
